the rainbow litter

The primary reason for heading up to Vancouver Island was to meet Sunny’s first litter… affectionately referred to as the “rainbow litter” because the dam’s name is Storm. Sun + Storm = Rainbows! All of the puppies were given color-themed names while they await new names from their forever-families.

There were eight puppies total… four boys and four girls, each as cute and cuddly as the next. They had been to visit an elementary school class before we got there so they were sleepy most of the time we were with them.

I took a TON of photos… 700+ over the two days we were on the island, most of which were of the puppies. I couldn’t help myself!

After awhile the puppies started to wake up a little bit… just enough to torture their mom and try to eat my boots, jeans, shirt, and card-holder.

And each other, of course…

Then back to sleep…
